UDPM were engaged to combine 3 x separate tenancies located within an existing medical/consulting building and make a large sophisticated high end finished Dental Practice in the heart of Subiaco.

A 4-week internal demolition process started with the removal of all redundant fixtures and fitting while the structural evaluation and design process ran in parallel to minimize build time. The insertion of large bespoke structural LVL beams enabled our client’s vision to become reality opening up the once small individual tenant areas into an expansive Reception/waiting consultation area. This area was fitted out very stylishly with the location and patient in mind, deep luxurious carpet fitted against a backdrop of curved wooden feature panelling and a white marled reception created an area where you could happily sip your favourite beverage from the newly built refresh station.
5x Treatment rooms were constructed and inlaid with homely flooring and warm cabinetry to continue this real sense of calm, the rooms were fitted out with the latest generation of dental chairs and x-ray machinery to complete these areas.
UDPM engaged their structural team to ensure the Clients vision was deliverable to the GA design, budget, and delivery timeline.
A flexible approach to UDPM’s project delivery enabled multiple changes to the proposed floor layout including relocating the staff room position, adding a 5th Surgery and DDA compliant shower room without impact to the delivery schedule.
The inclusion of an external corrosion resistant acoustically insulated plant room took the “Engine Room” outside along with all the associated noise and mechanics. The layout was designed to be machine specific to minimize the floor space required and the small split system air conditioning unit kept everything running in ambient internal conditions during the hottest Summer on record.
UDPM replaced all the existing sectionalised windows to modern full pane glazed units to maximize the light input to the new Surgeries located around the buildings perimeter.
